About

Independent fiduciary advice for clients whose decisions deserve full attention.

Helix Wealth is built around independent advisory judgment, fiduciary capability, and hands-on coordination for families, executives, business owners, institutions, and family offices with complex financial lives. Independence does not eliminate all conflicts, including disclosed insurance-compensation conflicts.

Independence

Independence means advice can start with the client, not a product shelf.

Helix is designed so planning, investment management, tax coordination, estate coordination, insurance planning, and family office work can be evaluated through the same lens: what best serves the client objective, risk, timing, and implementation reality. Insurance recommendations remain subject to disclosed product-related compensation conflicts.

Fiduciary Capabilities

A model built around judgment and execution.

Helix brings planning and investment work together so advice can be coordinated, implemented, and reviewed through one accountable advisory relationship.

Independent Judgment

Advice is built around the client balance sheet, family context, institutional mandate, and decision timeline rather than a narrow product category, while disclosed compensation conflicts are managed through the fiduciary process.

Fiduciary Capabilities

The firm brings investment management, planning depth, insurance context, estate coordination, tax-aware execution, and governance support into one accountable advisory process.

Hands-On Execution

Helix helps translate recommendations into coordinated action with attorneys, accountants, trustees, benefits teams, lenders, custodians, and family stakeholders.

Dipen Mehta, Founder of Helix Wealth

Dipen Mehta

Dipen Mehta built Helix Wealth to help people turn complexity into a clearer path forward.

After three decades in the financial markets, Dipen saw that the hardest part of wealth is not a lack of information. It is knowing how the pieces fit together and what to do next. Investment decisions touch taxes, estate plans, business ownership, family priorities, liquidity, and timing. When handled in isolation, important connections can be missed.

Across a 30-year career in the financial markets, Dipen began on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). He later spent more than 15 years running a proprietary trading company as a broker-dealer, followed by more than 10 years as a financial advisor, investment manager, strategist, and fiduciary. He founded Helix Wealth to give clients one accountable place to see the full picture, coordinate the right specialists, and follow through. Helping a client win means helping them make informed decisions and pursue defined goals, without promising a particular investment result.

"The more complex the situation, the more the client should feel the value of preparation."

Professional credentials

Credentials that support fiduciary and investment work.

Dipen holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation and the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification. Together, they support two parts of the work: fiduciary process and standards, plus advanced investment analysis and portfolio construction.

Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®)

The AIF® designation, offered by Fi360 and managed by its Center for Fiduciary Studies, focuses on the principles of fiduciary duty, standards of conduct, and a process for carrying out fiduciary responsibility.

How it is earned: Candidates complete qualifying training, pass a timed, closed-book, proctored examination, meet experience prerequisites, satisfy ethics and conduct standards, and submit the application and dues. The current exam has 80 multiple-choice questions, 70 scored and 10 trial questions, in 120 minutes, with a 70% passing score. Annual continuing education and renewal are required.

Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®)

The CIMA® certification, administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute, is designed for financial advisors and investment consultants working with the investment-management needs of affluent and institutional clients. Its curriculum includes advanced investment topics and portfolio construction.

How it is earned: Candidates complete executive education, pass a proctored exam, document at least three years of verified financial-services experience, pass background checks, pay the initial fee, and agree to the Institute's Code of Professional Responsibility. The current exam has 110 scored multiple-choice questions plus 10 pretest questions in four hours. Renewal requires 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including ethics and tax/regulations, plus other renewal and compliance requirements.

Credential requirements, exam formats, and renewal standards are set by the issuing organizations and may change. AIF® and CIMA® are professional credentials; they are not government endorsements, do not guarantee investment performance or any particular outcome, and do not replace the fiduciary obligations that apply to an advisory relationship. Helix Wealth LLC is an Indiana state-registered investment adviser. Registration does not imply any particular level of skill or training.
